Metro Manila posted 41 percent or 1,275 of the reported 3,112 new HIV cases registered nationwide from July to October, based on figures from the Department of Health. The new cases brought the total number of reported HIV cases nationwide to 38,114 since 1984. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
