CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – Four houses were gutted by fire on Sunday, Christmas Day, in Tuguegarao City, a fire official said on Monday.
The blaze was traced to an electrical outlet of one of the corn storage houses in Barangay Libag Norte, said Basilio Pagulayan Jr., Tuguegarao City fire marshal. The damage was placed at P800,000.
The fire was contained by noon after an hour, but one of the homeowners, Luciano Talosig, complained that the firemen took too long to respond.
