Revamp in key PNP posts as top cop Magalong retires
With the retirement of Police Director Benjamin Magalong and other senior officials, a revamp in the key positions in the Philippine National Police has been implemented.

PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa approved the appointment of police officials upon the recommendation of the PNP’s Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board (SOPPB).
Replacing Magalong as the deputy chief for operations, the PNP’s third in command, is Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario.
Taking over Apolinario’s erstwhile post as chief of the directorial staff is former head of the PNP’s Directorate for Personnel Police Director Fernando Mendez Jr.
The reorganization also affected some positions in the Directorial Staff, Directorate for Integrated Police Operations, National Support Units and Police Regional Offices.
