CA confirms appointments of 3 Cabinet secretaries, 22 diplomats

The powerful Commission on Appointments on Tuesday confirmed the ad interim appointments of three Cabinet officials, and 22 diplomats, including the nomination of former Makati Representative Teodoro Locsin Jr. as Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations.

The CA unanimously approved in the plenary the ad interim appointments of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Public Works Secretary Mark Villar and Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael Dres Sueno.

Locsin’s nomination as the PH envoy to the UN was also approved without objection by the commission along with 21 other senior officers of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
