Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo vehementely denied on Wednesday that she was the Cabinet member being referred to in a blind item, who had allegedly requested free tickets and designers shoes from officials of a mall in Metro Manila.

The blind item that appeared in the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s section, entitled: “Biz buzz Freebie-minded Cabinet official” was raised by Teacher Partylist Representative Julieta Cortuna during Teo’s confirmation hearing by the Commission on Appointment’s committee on tourism and economic development.

“I’d like to inform the body that it’s not me,” Teo said, responding to Cortuna’s query.
