Nueva Vizcaya cop who killed lawyer surrenders to Ifugao police

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – The policeman who shot dead the husband of his alleged lover, a fellow police officer, surrendered in Ifugao province on Sunday.

PO1 Clifford Dulnuan of the Diadi town police in Nueva Vizcaya was detained by policemen from Diadi and Ifugao’s Kiangan town, three days after he shot and killed lawyer Jemar Apada, chief of staff of Apayao Gov. Elias Bulut Jr. on Dec. 1, said Chief Insp. Alexander Cabang, Diadi police chief.

Apada is married to PO2 Jenny Apada, with whom Dulnuan was allegedly having an affair.

Dulnuan fled but his father informed Cabang that his son had turned himself in to the Ifugao police.

Dulnuan was turned over for protective custody at the Nueva Vizcaya Public Safety Company in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Dulnuan is facing a murder charge. JE/rga
