Cebu City mayor sad over Robredo’s resignation from Cabinet
CEBU CITY — Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña was dismayed when he learned that Vice President Robredo had resigned from the Cabinet.
“I’m very sad. I think she’s very competent and she had her heart focused on addressing the issues particularly of housing,” Osmeña said on Monday.
He said Robredo has been doing good as the head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
The mayor recalled that the Vice President had assured that some housing projects would be implemented in Cebu during her time in the office.
“She had many plans. That’s what I’m very worried about (her resignation),” Osmeña said.
