Voters registration set in selected cities
In preparation for the 2017 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) polls, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will be conducting satellite voters’ registration activities in several areas in Metro Manila.
The satellite registration will run until April 1 next year as a complement to the regular voter registration which began last November. It aims to encourage more people to register and take part in the barangay and SK elections scheduled on Oct. 23, 2017.
Local election officers will be receiving applications for registration, transfer, transfer with reactivation, reactivation, change/correction of entries and inclusion or reinstatement of records in the list of voters.
The satellite registration will be held in Manila, Parañaque, Taguig and Muntinlupa City on the following dates:
Manila: Dec. 14 to 16 at Barangay 22 Hall on Molave corner Batangas Streets, Tondo; Jan. 10 to 11 at Barangay 260 Hall on Benavidez Street, Tondo; Jan. 12 to 13 at Barangay 172 covered court on Gapan corner Earnshaw Streets in Tondo; Jan. 23 to 24 at Patricia covered court in Tondo; Jan. 25 to 26 at Barangay 199 Hall on Hermosa Street, Tondo.
Taguig City: Dec. 7 at Market! Market! Mall in Taguig City.
Muntinlupa City: Dec. 11 and 18 at Sucat People’s Park; Dec. 17 at Alabang Hills Village clubhouse; Jan. 7 and April 2 at Barangay Alabang Hall;
Jan. 8 at Barangay Putatan covered court; Jan. 15 at Villa Carolina 1, Barangay Tunasan; Jan. 21 at Soldier’s Hill Village, Barangay Putatan; Jan. 22 and Feb. 19 at Barangay Lupon Office in Barangay Buli;

The Comelec added that it would also hold satellite registrations in selected areas for PWDs, internally displaced persons, indigenous peoples, detainees and senior citizens.
