It’s like a zombie apocalypse. I feel bad for the people who need to clean this up. #BlackFriday #NikeOutletStore

The Black Friday shopping madness has taken the US by storm, and one particular Nike branch was left devastated in its wake.

Eager shoppers swarmed the Nike Factory store at the Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip, Washington, over the weekend to avail themselves of its wide array of discounted sporting merchandise.

The once-a-year bargain event brought thousands of customers through its doors, and the staffs were already anticipating a rowdy mob—particularly in its shoe department.

However, a slew of customers went nuts during the first few hours of the sale, resulting in a chaotic sequence of empty shoeboxes, chunks of cardboard and mismatched shoes in almost every aisle.

The shocking sight baffled staffs and consumers alike so that they used the social media to provide evidence of the store’s destruction.

“The wake of consumerism at the #Nike Factory Store is savage,” customer Larry Downer posted on Facebook. “Found Davis some basketball shoes, saved a lady from drowning in a sea of orange boxes, and sprained my neck from shaking my head so much. Yikes.”

Roughly 20,000 people passed through the store between 9 p.m. on Thursday (Friday in Manila) and 10 p.m. Friday (Saturday in Manila), according to Buzzed.

Nike has been given notice of the unfortunate acts of barbarity, but it has yet to release a statement regarding the matter, as of this writing. Khristian Ibarrola
