Problems in the National Printing Office (NPO) run deep, according to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, who has ordered in investigation on the reason behind the mass resignation of the agency’s Bids and Awards Committee members.

Andanar said the NPO, which prints government forms, has been a hotbed of controversy and he himself has been reluctant to be at the helm of the agency, which is attached to his office.

“You know the problems there run deep. There are different suppliers who are fighting each other, who are after business and stuff, ” Andanar told reporters on Friday. —LEILA B. SALAVERRIA/rga
