Seven PNP, AFP officials given farewell parade by PMA cadets
FORT DEL PILAR, Baguio City—Cadets of the Philippine Military Academy on Saturday gave a testimonial parade for seven officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police, among them PNP Director Benjamin Magalong who cited the culpability of government officials in his investigation of the Mamasapano massacre.
Magalong, who oversaw the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, is retiring on Dec. 5.
A member of PMA Class of 1982, Magalong was given honors alongside classmates, Dir. Wilfredo Franco, Dir. Noel Lazarus Vargas, and Dir. Victor Deona.
The cadets also honored Brig. Gen. Aaron Fetalvero, a member of PMA Class of 1984, and PMA Class of 1985 alumni Commodore Elson Aguilar and Brig. Gen. Maximo Ballesteros.
Because of rains, the cadets paraded in their gray rain gear.
