Looking good to face probe
The House of Representatives on Wednesday groomed Ronnie Dayan for his much-awaited appearance today before lawmakers investigating the illegal drug trade in New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
The former driver/bodyguard/lover of Sen. Leila de Lima got a haircut, new clothes and shoes.
He was turned over to the House sergeant at arms on Tuesday after his arrest in La Union province.
Dayan spent the night in a room at the Legislative Security Bureau building in the legislative complex with his wife, Norlyn, and daughter, Hannah Mae.
He requested a haircut and asked to be allowed to watch television to catch up on the news, according to House Sergeant at Arms Roland Detabali.

Detabali said lawyers from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and the House “assisted” Dayan in preparing his affidavit for Thursday’s hearing.
But Dayan also mentioned a “lawyer of choice” from Malasagui, Pangasinan province, whom he met at the Department of Justice.
Detabali said that from his own pocket, he bought Dayan a new set of clothes and a pair of shoes for the hearing. “My task is to protect him and make him look good also,” he said.
