Hollywood-style signage for Batangas in Taal Lake inappropriate, INQUIRER.net pollsters say

MANILA, Philippines – Majority of respondents in a poll conducted by INQUIRER.net do not think that the Hollywood-style signage in Taal Lake was appropriate.

A total of 71.89 percent (1,455 votes) voted “no” to the question “Do you think Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto’s plan to put up a Hollywood-style signage in Lake Taal appropriate?”

Meanwhile, 28.11 percent (569 votes) answered “yes”.

Reports said that Santos-Recto had plans of erecting a Hollywood-style sign that said “BATANGAS” on Taal Island, which was met with ridicule.

The online poll was conducted late October and gathered 2,024 votes.
