MANILA, Philippine – The body of a man believed to be a victim of summary execution was found floating in a river in Las Piñas City, according to a report from Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, Las Piñas City chief of police, said the body was found around 7 a.m. in Palango Compound, Pamplona Dos.
The still unidentified body was found with masking tape wrapped around the head and was in black shorts. There were multiple stab wounds to the chest and body.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) was waiting for the body to be retrieved from the river for autopsy and identification.
Sapitula said that this might be connected to a previous incident where another body was found in the same river the previous day.
