The late patriot, journalist and pharmacist General Antonio Luna was born in Binondo, Manila, on Oct. 29, 1866. He was founder and editor of the revolutionary paper La Independencia and served during the Filipino-American war. He was killed by assassins on June 5, 1899.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
