T’boli for “never-ending joy,” the Helubong Festival in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato province, showcases the dances that mimic nature, music, social graces and customs of the indigenous group.

Lanuza Surfing Festival
One of the country’s “secret” surfing spots, Lanuza town in Surigao del Sur province holds its annual surfing competition during the highest level of tide as waves go as high as 3.05 meters (10 feet). Other activities include a parade, beach games, surfing lessons and coastal cleanup.

In Rizal province, the cultural heritage and traditions of the people of Tanay town are highlighted in parades, exhibits, agritrade fair and contests. Hane is a Tanayan expression which means “please” in English or di ba in Filipino slang.
