Alleged PDI online survey is a hoax
A Facebook post claims that an Inquirer employee has been soliciting responses to what was described as an anti-Duterte survey. We wish to make clear: There is no online anti-Duterte survey. Ms Glory Ebayan is an account executive, not a reporter as claimed; her e-mail account was hacked, the phone numbers in her alleged letter are wrong.
The letter, the online survey, and the link provided appear to be part of an elaborate hoax to discredit the Inquirer. Any alert reader will note the discrepancies in the text, the URL, even the grammar.
We are studying the filing of the appropriate criminal and civil charges against the perpetrators of the hoax. The hoax is not a responsible exercise of the freedom of expression.
To the concerned citizens who alerted us, our sincerest thanks. We commit to you the highest standards of both journalism and good citizenship
