2 tropical cyclones spotted outside of PAR

The weather bureau is tracking two tropical cyclones outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

The first tropical depression, which is forecast to enter PAR within the day, was located 1,360 kilometers east of Luzon. It will be locally named “Marce.”

The cyclone was packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 70 kph. It was moving west at 10 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Thursday.

The second tropical depression was much farther away from the country, located 2,400 kilometers east of Luzon.

The weather disturbance was packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gusts of 70 kph, moving west northwest at 20 kph.

The intertropical convergence zone is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, Pagasa said.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will be experienced over Visayas, MIndanao, and the regions of Bicol, Mimaropa and Calabarzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains.
