4 killed in Manila, QC on All Saints’ Day

Four people were killed on All Saints’ Day, two of them casualties in the ongoing war on drugs. Three of the victims were gunned down by unidentified men in Quezon City while the fourth was shot dead in a buy-bust operation in Manila.

The body of Noel Yu, 45, was found on 4th Alley corner Kasoy Street at Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City, at 3:50 a.m on Tuesday. Police reports said a witness heard gunshots near his house and saw two men hurriedly boarding a white van without a license plate and driving away from the scene.

More than two hours later, another body was discovered on Sumapi Street in the same barangay in Quezon City. Investigation showed that Daisy Ysmael, 51, was repeatedly shot in front of her apartment.

The third victim was identified as Ruel Sulibaga, 44, a Barangay Payatas watchman who was gunned down by still unidentified men. Found in his possession were two sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), a .38-cal. pistol, handcuffs, cell phone, flashlight and ID cards.

In Manila, suspected drug pusher Jefferson Falculan, 39, died of a gunshot wound in the chest after he reportedly sold P500 worth of shabu to undercover policemen.
