IN celebration of the Cooperative Month in October, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) in Siquijor and Lazi National Agricultural School joined the tree planting activity organized by the Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC).

The tree planting in Parian, Enrique Villanueva, Siquior was the National Cooperative Month’s opening activity.

Tesda and Lazi National Agricultural School (LNAS) were among the institutions in the province that responded to the invitation of PCDC chairman Rev. Fr. Susano Arbas and Cooperative Development specialist Jeysel Roble to join the tree planting activity in the morning of Oct. 1.

Tesda-LNAS information officer Elsa Apiag said that despite the scourging heat of the sun and the distance of the planting site, the participants were happy that they contributed to the greening efforts of the government.

“They showed enthusiasm as they were all inspired by the celebration’s theme, Transformative cooperatives: Advancing people, planet, prosperity and peace,”  Apiag said.
