National TOWNS Week is celebrated every last week of October by virtue of Proclamation No. 652 signed on June 25, 2004, by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. In 1995, the search for outstanding Filipino women in the nation’s service was transferred to The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service (TOWNS) Foundation.
