A University of Santo Tomas graduate topped the electronics engineer licensure examination, and also placed fourth in the electronics technician licensure examination held early this month.
Masaru Quemquem Nakaegawa bagged the top slot in the first board exam held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Lucena, with a rating of 92.3 percent.
Meryl Andal Aldover of Dela Salle University-Lipa; Ronnel Padiernos Dayawon of University of the East-Caloocan; Marlon Tagolino Moscare of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Taguig; and Moises Dela Cruz Ramos of Saint Louis University all got a rating of 89.3 percent, to take second place.
Kristoffer Flores Catabui of Malayan Colleges Laguna was in third place with an 89.2 percent rating, while John Donnie Impuesto Celestre of UE-Manila came in next with 89 percent. Denver Guerra Magtibay of University of Batangas was fifth with a rating of 88.8 percent.
In sixth and seventh places were University of the Philippines Diliman alumni Adrian Ramos Vidal and Aldrin Rolf San Pedro Ison, with ratings of 88.6 percent and 88.4 percent, respectively.
Kimbert Asotigue Arojado of Technological Institute of the Philippines-Manila and Neil Mañosca Delos Reyes of UE Caloocan were eighth, with a rating of 88.2 percent.
Anna Patricia Nicole Bautista Mesina of Dela Salle University-Manila and Marc Joseph Macapagal Macalinao of Ateneo de Manila University-Quezon City were ninth and tenth respectively, with ratings of 87.9 percent and 87.8 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission said 1,914 of the 4,742 who took this exam passed.
It said the top performing school was UP Diliman, which garnered a 100 percent passing rate.
Electronics technician licensure exam
UE’s Dayawon, Hexina Espiritu Madolid of DLSU-Dasmariñas and Voncarlo Giovanni Dideles Pasco of Technological University of the Philippines Visayas topped the electronics technician licensure exam with a 93 percent each.
In second place was Melvin Pineda Mendoza of Bulacan State University Malolos, with a rating of 92 percent; and in third, were John Noah Torres Aguilar of PUP-Sta. Mesa, Lorenzo Arocha Cea also of PUP-Sta. Mesa, and Zaeefa Arasa Pandangan of Ateneo de Zamboanga, scoring 90 percent, each.
Sharing the fourth place with a rating of 89 percent were 12 people—Nakaegawa, John Paul Yabut Capati of Mapua Institute of Technology Manila; Gerald Paolo Belarmino Dar Santos of UST; Rona Mae Goles Gimenez of PUP Sto. Tomas; Arielle Mae Nasis Ilagan of Ateneo de Naga University; Mark Bernard Henares Jison of the University of St. La Salle; Darius Jonathan Lim Lee of Ateneo de Zamboanga; Denver Guerra Magtibay of UB; Jose Melanio Mangurali Marasigan of Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas; Eris Pelayo Sagum of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila; Denise Laine Aranilla Songalla of Southern Luzon State University Lucban; and Geneca Yambao of Mapua Institute of Technology Manila.
UST topped with a passing rate of 98.85 percent for the electronics technician licensure exam, followed by Mapua Manila at 95.28 percent. University of Saint La Salle came in third with 92.73 percent, followed by TIP-Visayas and University of San Carlos, which scored 92.21 percent and 92 percent, respectively.
