‘Lawin’ leaves 3 dead in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY–Typhoon Lawin left three people dead in Cagayan, according to delayed reports that began streaming here on Friday (Oct.  21).

Rosita Rumbaoa died when she was pinned down by a hut blown off by Lawin’s winds in Barangay (village) Hacienda Intal Baggao town on Oct. 20.

In Iguig town, Shirley Baccay, a school teacher of the University of St Louis in Tuguegarao, was crushed to death after getting trapped inside a house in Malabbac village.

An unidentified fatality was reported in Solana town, said Rogelio Sending Jr., Cagayan provincial information officer. CDG/rga
