Telecom employee killed in Nueva Vizcaya car crash

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A linesman employed by a telecommunications firm was killed in a crash along the highway in Barangay Bonfal Proper here on Tuesday dawn.

Chief Insp. Jenefer Flores, Bayombong police chief, said Jomar Flores died after getting thrown out of the Mitsubishi L300 utility van ferrying him and seven co-workers.

The vehicle overturned before crashing into a coconut tree. The impact threw Flores and two other passengers towards a creek.

Flores, the lone fatality, was found by residents at daybreak, lying in the creek. He was initially mistaken as a murder victim.

The survivors were rushed to various hospitals here and in Solano town.
