Severed head found in Nueva Vizcaya

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—The head of an unidentified man was found tucked inside a shopping bag in an upland village in Kayapa town on Tuesday morning.

Residents discovered the head on the roadside of Castillo village around 6 a.m., according to Chief Insp. Orlando Tacio, Kayapa police chief.

The bag also contained a piece of cardboard with the inscription, “Pusher ako, susunod na kayo (I am a drug pusher; you’re next).”

Police said the victim may have been killed elsewhere. The mountain road is the shortest access route from this province to Benguet and Baguio City.
