Tropical storm “Julian” left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday noon, the state weather bureau said.
Glaiza Escullar, weather forecaster from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, said that the storm was last located 280 kilometers west of Basco, Batanes.
Julian was moving westward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph) and will continue to enhance the prevailing southwest monsoon in the country.
The storm packed maximum sustained winds of up to 75 kph and gusts of up to 115 kph. RAM/rga
