3 Abu Sayyaf suspects nabbed in Zamboanga City; bomb plot foiled, say cops

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police said it has foiled a planned bomb attack following the arrest of three suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group here on Monday afternoon.

Senior Superintendent Luisito Magnaye, city police director, said members of the Zamboanga City Police Intelligence unit arrested three suspected bombers and recovered bomb materials at the Atilano’s Pensionne House in Barangay Canelar.

One of the three suspects was identified as Alfad Pahad Colayan.

Magnaye said the suspects were still being interrogated to determine details of their alleged bomb attack plan.  SFM
