Pantino makes 2nd rd. in Dacudao net

CEBU ’S ARTHUR Craig “Igi” Diaz Pantino continued his winning ways as he advanced to the second round of the 1st Elias Dacudao Cup Age-Group Tennis Tournament in Davao .

Pantino is aiming for two titles in this tournament. He is entered both in the boys 12-under and 14-under categories.

Pantino, who is seeded first in the boys 12-under category, routed Rhay Charles Tiu, 6-0, 6-1. He will go up against Jeff Alqueza in the second round.

In the boys 14-under, Pantino will face Brian Otico in the second round after dismissing Carlo Narca, 6-1, 6-3.

This tournament is a Group 2 Philippine Tennis Association (Philta)-sanctioned tournament. It will award 120 points to each category champions.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
