Nat’l team members vie in Hua Ching table tennis tilt

SOME of the best table tennis teams are in Cebu for a two-day tournament dubbed the 10th Hua Ching Foundation Invitational Table Tennis tournament, which started yesterday at the Clotilde Building in barangay Kasuntingan, Mandaue City.

The tournament has attracted former and present Philippine Team members.

The 16 participating teams are METTA, COPTTA, MEDTTA, MECTTEL, TRUDEL, FBI, MISORTTA, BTTC-Magnolia, Spin-Davao, Andro, Imus-Cavite, dot.PH, Hua Ching Foundation, Asta Sports, University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), HNU, Davao Electrical Sales and the University of San Carlos.

Hua Ching Foundation president Joseph Ling said  this tournament aims to promote table tennis in the country and help the grassroots development program of table tennis.

Hua Ching foundation is now focusing on less fortunate children of Mandaue City to enhance its grassroots program for table tennis. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
