BASCO, Batanes—Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo flew to this storm-ravaged province on Monday to offer aid and was told the damages left by last week’s Typhoon “Ferdie” had risen to P445 million.
Robredo was briefed here at 9 a.m. by Governor Marilou Cayco. Robredo offered emergency shelter assistance and said she would help rebuild the damaged houses “into shelters that are tougher than the strongest storms.”
She also flew to Itbayat island which was the most affected municipality. RAM
