Gunmen kill village chair in Ecija town

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija — A village chair was gunned down by two unidentified men along a barangay road in Gulod village here on Sunday.
George Mangalindan, 45, chair of Barangay Caputican, was driving a service van when he was ambushed by two men on a motorcycle at 8:50 a.m., said Senior Supt. Manuel Cornel, Nueva Ecija police director.
Manuel said Mangalindan was included in a police drug watchlist.
