2 killed in motorcycle-SUV collision in Nueva Vizcaya
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines—Two people died and another was hurt in a collision on Monday night between a motorcycle and a sports utility vehicle on the national highway in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, according to regional police reports at Camp Adduru.
Sammy Calawa, driver of the motorcycle, and his backrider, Efren Pidong, died from head injuries during the collision with a vehicle owned by the Divilacan town government in Isabela. The government car was driven by Angelo Christian Ramos, 27, who is facing a charge of reckless imprudence leading to double homicide.
Wounded in the collision was Alex Bitbit of Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya. He was brought to the Veterans’ Regional Hospital in Bayombong. RAM/rga
