Nurse selling party drugs, 5 others nabbed

ANTIDRUG operations led to the arrest of six suspects, including a barangay councilor and a nurse, in Taguig, Pasay and Parañaque cities on Saturday.

The Southern Police District identified the nurse as Kenneth Santillan, who allegedly supplied party drugs to buyers at high-end bars in Bonifacio Global City-Taguig and in Makati.

Santillan was caught selling five ecstasy pills to an undercover agent around 10 p.m.

Saturday at the corner of 32nd Street and Lane A in BGC.

Also recovered from him were 12 “Hello Kitty” ecstasy pills, 11 sachets of “shabu,” 10 Valium tablets and a bottle of water mixed with shabu.

Earlier, around 3 a.m., BGC police also arrested 28-year-old Amos Apostol of Guiguinto, Bulacan, inside the Palace Pool Club.

Arresting officers PO1 Bronson Wayan and PO1 James Carbuena, along with club bouncers Orlando Silidio and Michael Evite, recovered a maroon tablet believed be ecstasy from Apostol.

In another operation, 35-year-old Djonalyn Rodrigo of Barangay Upper Bicutan was arrested for allegedly smuggling illegal drugs into Taguig City jail.

In Pasay, SPD operatives arrested Jordan Garlan, 28, a councilor of Barangay 43, for selling for shabu worth P5,000 at 7:45 p.m. in front of his barangay hall on Tramo Street.

The SPD also arrested two more suspects—James Castro and Edward Pendon, both aged 23—inside their unit at St. Anthony Residences along Quirino Avenue, in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque.
