Bohol cop caught selling shabu killed in buy-bust op
PANGLAO, Bohol – A policeman was killed in a drug buy bust operation on Thursday night in Barangay Lourdes, Panglao town.
Police Officer 3 Irmon Tutor Butil, 35, who was assigned at Lila police station, was still wearing his uniform when he sold a sachet of shabu worth P500 to undercover policemen about 10:30 p.m.
He, however, allegedly tried to fight back and drew his gun to avoid arrest, prompting officers to shoot him.
Butil succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head.
Recovered from the scene were about 8 big sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and 9mm pistol.
Initial investigation showed that Butil did not report for work on Thursday at the Lila police station where he had been assigned since Aug. 23.

The four others were Moises Abing, Jaypee Pacot, Florante Estomata and Welbee Caragan.
Based on the information recovered from cellular phone of Borja, the police learned about the suspect’s illegal transaction with Butil.
Police were able to track down Butil who was still in the area.
According to Police Supt. Ricky Delilis, spokesman of the Bohol Provincial Police Office, they had been monitoring Butil’s illegal activities. JE/rga
