SAN ISIDRO, Nueva Ecija — A policeman from Gapan City was killed in a clash with San Isidro police officers during a Wednesday (Sept. 7)  buy-bust operation.

PO3 Emmanuel Obille, 42, a member of the Gapan police drug enforcement unit (DEU) was killed after he allegedly fired his service weapon at the arresting policemen, said Senior Supt. Manuel Cornel, Nueva Ecija police director.

Obille was the subject of the operation, having been declared absent-without-leave in Gapan.

In Cabanatuan City on Tuesday (Sept. 6), Ronaldo Lapina, 43, was killed by policemen serving a search warrant in Paulino St., Barangay Aduas Sur at 1:30 p.m. because he allegedly attacked them.

Supt. Ponciano Zafra, city police chief, said six sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia, a .38-revolver, a .22 rifle and an improvised shotgun were seized at the crime scene.  SFM
