Inquirer thanks donors, volunteers to typhoon drive

Volunteers, mostly employees of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, responded to the call for help for victims of Typhoons “Pedring”  and “Quiel”  by distributing relief supplies to some 300 families living near Purok 4 in flood-hit Calumpit, Bulacan on Oct. 19.

The Inquirer Relief Drive was made possible with the donations dropped off at the Inquirer’s main office in Makati City and funds deposited to the account of the Inquirer Help Fund and Corporate Network for Disaster Response accounts.

Among the donors were:  Electro Mekanique thru Rolando Jamamiego; Maynilad; Pao Ong Kong Chinese Temple thru Angelina Lim; RSB 4squares Inc.; Star Corp.; RSB; Magic Fire Corp.; Nonie Basillo; Asuncion Maramba; Gabrielle and Lynn Abello; Dr. Hiwaga Dominguez; Persival Bulata; Manuel Cornejo; Shaila Anareta; Inquirer Chair Marixi Prieto; Mr. Gamboa; Edgar Vince Rimonte; A&P Exponent Builders Inc.; Jeremy Cordero; Correctional Institution for Women; Mariano Santos Alicia Liboro and Platon, Martinez, Flores, San Pedro, Leano Law Firm; Tina Justiniano; Donna Dominguez; The Bridge School; Timpoyog Ti Ilocandia; Dona Dominguez; Tita Trillo; and anonymous donors.

More relief goods will be given to the residents of Obando, Bulacan and Pampanga by next week.
