CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Gunmen shot dead four farmers tilling fields on a disputed land inside the Philippine Army’s Fort Magsaysay camp in Nueva Ecija province on Saturday (Sept. 3), the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) said.

The armed men killed Gaudencio Bagalay, Baby Mercado, Violeta Mercado and Eligio Barbado who were planting on portions of a 3,100-hectare land ordered covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program in 1992, said Joseph Canlas, KMP chair.

Another farmer, Angelita Milan, was wounded.  SFM/rga
