The state weather bureau on Saturday warned that rains will continue to persist in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby provinces due to the enhanced southwest moon (habagat).

In its 10 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said light to moderate rains would persist in Metro Manila including the provinces of Bataan, Zambales, Cavite, Batangas, Pampanga, Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan within the next two to three hours.

The typhoon was forecast to move northeast at 7 kph. IDL
