Two city police chiefs relieved in Isabela

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela—Two local police chiefs were ordered relieved on Tuesday as part of a nationwide shakeup of police officials, as the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte intensified its war on drugs.

Supt. Manuel Bringas was replaced as Ilagan City police chief by Supt. Segundo Lagundi Jr. upon the instructions of Director General Ronald de la Rosa, chief of the Philippine National Police. Bringas served the Ilagan post for 10 months.

De la Rosa replaced Supt. Engelbert Soriano with Supt. Ariel Quilang as Cauayan City chief of police./rga
