Today, Aug. 18, is the 91st birth anniversary of National Scientist Clara Lim-Sylianco. A notable biochemist, expert on organic chemistry and acclaimed academician, she was conferred the title of National Scientist in 1994. Sylianco died on July 23, 2013 at the age of 87.
