Body of middle-aged man washed ashore in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY — The body of an unidentified middle-aged man was washed ashore on a beach here on Monday morning (Aug. 15).

The bloated remains were found at the Driftwood Beach in Barangay (village) Barretto at 4 a.m. by residents, PO2 Ernest John Almares, the lead investigator, said.

Police said the man, whom they described to be in his 40s, could have been dead three days ago.

Village chairman Angelito Baloy of Barretto said the man’s neck bore wounds from an undetermined weapon.  SFM/rga
