Several hurt as tornado hits Sampaloc, Baseco

MANILA — Several persons were slightly hurt when a tornado hit residential areas in Sampaloc and Basecoon Sunday afternoon.

Johnny Yu, Manila’s anti-disaster chief, said the tornado took place at 4:30 p.m.

At least 100 houses from G. Tuazon Street to Baseco compound were damaged.

Yu also confirmed slight injuries to several people living in the affected areas.  SFM
