It’s all systems go for three National Democratic Front consultants to participate in the peace talks in Norway late August despite facing criminal charges before a Manila court.
This was after Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 32 Judge Thelma Bunyi-Medina granted the urgent motions for the issuance of a court order allowing Satur Ocampo and Randall Echanis to travel.

Medina also granted Rafael Baylosis’ prayer to travel abroad, incorporated in his manifestation with urgent motion for bail and to recall warrant of arrest.
After being arraigned, Medina reinstated Baylosis’ bail and set it at P150,000.

He posted bail on Friday.
Atty. Rachel Pastores of the Public Interest Law Center, who represents them, said the three no longer have pending cases in other courts, which means they could now go to Oslo and participate in the peace talks that will resume on Aug. 20.
Medina also granted the urgent motion for release on bail filed by Wilma and Benito Tiamzon and Adelberto Silva, but Pastores said they still had other pending urgent motions in other courts. RAM/rga
