Zamboanga Sibugay couple, 7-year-old son abducted
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines –Unidentified armed men abducted a family of three in Barangay (village) Kulisap in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay on Friday night.
Chief Superintendent Billy Beltran, the Western Mindanao police director, said they were puzzled by the abduction as the family was not rich.
He identified the victims as couple Elmer and Nora Romoc, and their seven-year-old son.

Elmer works at the Payao municipal treasurer’s office while Nora supervises their two small stores.
Beltran said the masked suspects struck between 6:30 to 7 p.m. and fled with the captives on a sea craft.
