Peasants ask for food aid for Northern Mindanao families
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Hundreds of peaseants from all over Northern Mindanao and other parts of Mindanao were now camping outside the regional office here of the Department of Social Welfare and Development as they demanded food assistance for El Niño-affected families.
The farmers were led by Kahugpungan sa mga Maguuma sa Bukidnon, Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) and Organisasyon sa mga Yanong Obrerong Nagkahiusa (OGYON)./rga
