2 hurt in Makati City rockslide
MANILA, Philippines—Two persons were injured in a rockslide in Makati City Thursday afternoon, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.
Rowena Reyes, group leader of the medics from the MMDA, said that two persons were rushed to the Ospital ng Makati after a rockslide injured them along the C5 highway U-turn slot in Barangay East Rembo in Guadalupe, Makati City at past 2 p.m.
She said that they rushed one Kenny Rose Valerio, who may have suffered bone fracture, after being pinned under large rocks.
Another unidentified victim was rushed to the same hospital after being hit in the head during the rockslide, she said. The MMDA however, could not provide the name of the other victim.
Reyes said that the wall along the U-turn slot eroded, causing the rockslide.
Several other people were given first aid treatment for minor bruises.
