Former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has been discharged from St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.
Jude Trinidad, the hospital’s corporate communications officer, on Friday said Arroyo left the hospital via the “backdoor” at 2:30 p.m.
“Someone else assisted her. And that someone told us to tell you that she already left,” Trinidad said.
Upon the decision of the Supreme Court junking the plunder raps against her and the subsequent order of the Sandiganbayan, Arroyo on Thursday walked free after almost five years of hospital arrest at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center.

Former Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera said Arroyo would go straight to her house in La Vista but would return to the hospital to complete other tests.
“She will return there but no schedule yet,” she said.
She added Arroyo had “remarkably high” cholesterol levels that “bear watching.”
It was reported that during her detention, Arroyo suffered from deteriorating health. IDL/rga
