Several protesters from Hong Kong backed the Philippines’ claim over the West Philippine Sea and called on China to honor the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) tribunal’s decision.
In the viral video posted by Irish Lara on Facebook, protesters are seen carrying placards that read “Xi [Jinping] and CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Useless,” “China PLA Army Made Of Tofu,” “We are sorry Please Let We Go,” “Hongkongers Support Philippines” and “China Government Has No Ability to Fight.”

“West Philippine Sea belongs to [the] Philippines, not China,” one protester shouts.
“China is a coward,” another masked protester yell.
The brief clip was viewed 505,000 times since its posting on Monday, July 18.
The Chinese government has cried foul over the PCA’s verdict, calling it “null and void.” It said the Philippines’ filing of the case in The Hague had been in “bad faith” and in “violation” of international law. It had insisted on bilateral talks with the Philippines.

Hong Kong is a special administration region of China, headed by a Chief Executive designated by the mighty CCP. Also on Thursday, pro-democracy youth activists Joshua Wong and two others were found guilty after spearheading the Umbrella Revolution protests in September 2014.
