MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police is targetting the arrest of at least 200 most wanted criminals in every region, including Metro Manila, as part of its campaign against criminality, PNP Chief Nicanor Bartolome said Thursday.
Bartolome said that the target in the provinces would be from 100 to 150 wanted and 50 in Metro Manila.
Bartolome said that as situations may differ for every provincial police office, the target figure may still change after further evaluation.
He however said that November would be their base month “so that makaumpisa tayo magtrabaho.”
Evaluation will be done the following month and recommendations to either raise or lower the targets will be made after the assessment, Bartolome said.
He said that some provinces may not have many wanted persons in their area, “magpapalit tayo dun ng figure kasi may pangangailangan ding dagdagan yung nasa ibang province.”
