Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo on Tuesday welcomed the results of a Pulse Asia survey which showed that she was trusted by a “sizable majority of Filipinos” regardless of geographic location and socio-economic status.
Robredo received a 62-percent trust rating in the said survey, posting her highest score in the Visayas (72 percent) and from respondents belonging to class D and E (64 and 61 percent, respectively).

“We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our fellow Filipinos. From 1 percent in the pre-election surveys to 35.1 percent—and now, a trust rating of 62 percent,” Robredo said in a statement.
Robredo also expressed gratitude to Filipinos for their “vote of confidence,” as she reiterated her call for unity in moving forward with a new administration.
“Thank you all for your vote of confidence; it is because of you and for you that we are in this position. Let us all work together toward a unified country that continues to move toward development and peace,” the Vice President said.
In the said survey, President Rodrigo Duterte got a record-high 91 percent trust rating, beating the record of former President Benigno Aquino III.
